This is the beginning of my twentieth year of teaching. I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Georgia State University, and my Master’s and Ed. Specialist degrees from Georgia College and State University. Over the years I have taught kindergarten, second, third, fourth and fifth grades. I never tire of teaching and learning! I have two sons, one is a graduate of Decatur High School, and the other is a student at Clairemont. I look forward to working with you and your child this year! I was born in Washington D.C. and grew up in Hudson, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland. I received my B.S. in elementary education from the University of Dayton, my M.Ed. in reading, language, and literacy from Georgia State University, and my Ed.S. in curriculum and instruction from Piedmont College. After teaching for 4 years in Dekalb County, I began working as a 5th grade teacher in CSD. This year I began a new job working as an Intervention teacher working with many students from different classes. I love the Decatur community, families, and students and enjoy coming to work everyday. My husband and I live in the Atlanta area; have one energetic dog, a four-year-old son, and a one-year-old daughter. When I'm not at school I enjoy running, biking, and taking my dog to different parks around Atlanta. I look forward to working with your child and helping them achieve success.
